What is Scrying?
Scrying is an ancient form of divination, dating back thousands of years. Different forms of scrying have been present in ancient to modern day civilizations all across the world. Scrying can also be found in many different religious and spiritual beliefs and is often used to tell a person their past, present or future. Many people since the witch-burning ages have called scrying a form of witchcraft; however, this is untrue. Many cultures have used scrying in their spiritual rites and journeys, including the Native Americans and Ancient Celtic Druids. It is quite interesting to find that even some Christian Kings of the past called upon "seers" to use different methods of scrying to aid them in battle or love scenarios.

Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils therapeutically. Plant oils have been used for therapy and cosmetics for thousands of years with records going back to ancient Egypt, China and India.
The essential oils that aromatherapists use to treat conditions are complex substances containing many chemical components. The oils aren't concentrated from whole plant parts - unlike most herbal medicines - but are extracted from flowers, leaves, roots, peel, resin or bark.

Indian Head Massage
Champissage, also known as an Indian head massage (possibly a portmanteau of ch?mpi, the Hindi term for the practice, and massage) is a trademarked term for an alternative medicine massage therapy.
This age old system from India has been used to improve the health by stimulating the scalp with oils that are very beneficial to the body's system. Like reflexology stimulates the nerve endings of the feet, Indian scalp massage stimulates the nerves from the head area.

Reflexology
Reflexology (zone therapy) is an alternative medicine, complementary, or integrated medicine method of treatment involving the physical act of applying pressure to the feet and hand with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion.
Reflexology works along holistic principles aiming to treat your mind, body and spirit rather than a diagnosis or set of symptoms. For instance, if you are suffering from stress, your body may be affected as well as your mind. Similarly, a physical illness can be emotionally draining. This will be a monthly event of
Story Sharing.
We will each bring a Story, Song, or Poem and meet to share them - as simple as that - let's sit in a circle and whoever has a story to share gets their chance. No pressure. This isn't a performance evening but more an informal get together to share, as generations before us have done, to tell, to listen and to enjoy.
There's no experience required here and there'll be tea, coffee (and biscuits).
The cost is £5 to cover the cost of refreshments and the electrickery.

The Source -
a manual of everyday magic.
A book reading by Ursula James
The Source threads together two stories. The first that of Ursula Sontheil, sometimes known as Mother Shipton, the 16th-century Yorkshire prophetess and healer who was burnt at the stake but whose spirit survived captive in a cave in North Yorkshire.
The second story is that of another Ursula, Ursula James, a modern day healer of minds. Mother Shipton shaped her childhood and, when she was ready to listen, came to her again when she was an adult and gave her the means to make magic happen. Through Mother Shipton's prophecies and spells, Ursula James transformed her own life and learnt that magic must be shared or it is diminished, so she passes this knowledge on to others.

This one-day workshop focused on herbal magic and in particular, the art of incense making.
The first half of the workshop was an introduction to the theory, utilising the history of Grimoires and magic. The second half acted as a consolidation of these new skills, putting what was learnt into practice whilst designing and blending 2-3 incenses/fumagations for personal aims, which participants were able to away with them.
Paul Wood is a herbal magic practitioner who has been lecturing on this subject for the last 7 years. He has extensively studied the use of herbs in an esoteric, historical capacity, and set up a small company (Wood-Moss) which recreates and sells historically acurate and researched products from the wetsern mystery tradition.
The promises to be a VERY interesting day!
